Accurate measurement is essential for perfect operation of electric fabric roller blinds. Zamer provides an easy guide so you can take the measurements yourself quickly and correctly.
You can install the blind on the wall, inside the window recess, or on the ceiling. This determines where the motor and cables will be placed.
Width — measure from left to right and add 5–10 cm on each side for complete light blocking. Height — from the top mounting point to the desired bottom position of the fabric.
Specify whether the motor is on the left or right side — whichever is more convenient for power access.

Correct installation ensures smooth operation and long service life of your electric roller blinds. Zamer provides a detailed guide for both DIY installation and professional quality check.
Check surface level. Determine the position of the headbox and cable outlet. If using hidden wiring, prepare the channel before installation.
Mark the mounting points for the headbox and side guides. Ensure perfect alignment using a level.
Fix the headbox with wall plugs and screws, install the guides. The roller tube should rotate freely.
Connect the motor to the 220V power supply. Always turn off the power before connection and test with a voltage tester.
Power on and test the blind using the remote control. Adjust the upper and lower limits as needed.
Activate pairing mode on the motor and press the button on the remote. For Wi-Fi motors, set up through the Somfy, Mosel or Alutech app.
Can I install electric blinds myself?
Yes, but we recommend professional installation for warranty and optimal performance.
Are they compatible with smart home systems?
